Social media has a way of making us think everyone else is living a better life than us… there definitely is a level of ‘fakeness’ around what you see posted online from other travellers – and by that I mean you’re only getting a small percentage of the picture – in most cases it’s only the best of the best that is shared.
Once you’re aware of this, your own experience travelling will be all the more pleasant as you stop comparing to what you ‘think’ another family is experiencing and take it all with a grain of salt realising there is more that is going on behind the scenes.

Port Gibbon is a low-cost beach camp on the Eyre Peninsula in SA. Costing only $5 dollars a night, this beautiful camp is filled with wildlife and different things to do. The road to the camp is a little rough, but not too bad, you may just need to let some air out of your tyres. We found the camp on wiki camps, and ended up staying at the last site, which was nestled in right amongst the sand dunes.
